The grace period for filing a Patent or Design Application following a pre-filing disclosure will be extended as of June 9, 2018 from 6 months to 1 year. As of June 9, 2018, an invention or a design is deemed to be novel if an application is filed within 12 months from publication occurring on or after December 9, 2017.
