Hiroshi Arai wrote a series of articles in Nippon Intellectual Property Translation Journal. These articles explain the quality range of professional patent translation by comparing Google-translation as it is, a post edited version thereof, a human-translation by the writer of the article, and a model-translation of Nippon Intellectual Property Translation Association (NIPTA). The past questions of the Intellectual Property Translation Examination (Chemistry, 2019, 1st Grade, EN to JP) were used for this article.
