Yasuhide Nishimura worked as an examiner and appeal examiner at the Japan Patent Office for more than 30 years, and has extensive experience in invalidation trials, oppositions, advisory opinions, and litigation. He has also worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as a First Secretary of the Overseas Embassies, the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology as Director of the Intellectual Property Division, and the Center for Innovative Integrated Electronic Systems at Tohoku University as Professor and Director of the Strategic Planning Division.
