Following graduation, Kazuyuki Semba worked at a major telecommunications firm for 14 years, over which time he gained experience in such areas as product development and intellectual property. While in the intellectual property department, in addition to the establishment of patent rights, his work also involved licensing and litigation support as well as patent management. He joined Sonoda and Kobayashi in May 2016.
