京都大学で大学院課程を修了後、東京大学医学系研究科に特任研究員として勤務。がん治療のためのDDSの研究に携わる。専門分野は生命科学。2010年入所以来、有機化学、無機化学、遺伝子工学の分野の特許を担当。
